ABOUT
THE MDIO
Formed at a time when the Asia Pacific Rotaractors have already been connecting
and collaborating for 17 years
Asia Pacific Rotaract MDIO was formed on June 16, 2020 and was officially recognized by Rotary International on September 17, 2020 as a regional Rotaract multi-district information organization (MDIO) for Asia Pacific.
Asia Pacific Rotaract MDIO facilitates communication and information dissemination for more than 100 districts in 8 Rotary Zones (Zones 1-3 and 8-12) covering 25 countries/territories in East and Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Asia Pacific Rotaract MDIO also provides leadership development programs and platforms for regional fellowship as well as service project collaboration.
Prior to the formation of the regional MDIO, the Asia Pacific Rotaract Committee has been existing in the region since 2007 with the primary purpose of sustaining the Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (APRRC) that started since 2004.
This was the Asia Pacific Rotaract Committee (ARPC) logo designed by Past District Rotaract Representative Lukkie Putranto of Rotary International District 3410. When the APRC was converted into an MDIO that its logo has to conform with Rotary International guidelines, this APRC logo was adopted instead as a creative artwork representing Rotaract in Asia Pacific Region - culturally diverse but with burning passion to achieve common goals.
